Toothpaste is used twice-daily by billions of people, and it’s something that no bathroom can afford to go without! Toothpaste is a form of dentifrice, a substance used to clean and polish teeth. It does its work via several key ingredients. An abrasive agent makes up most of the paste; it’s designed to rub the surface of the teeth, removing plaque and producing a pleasantly shimmering smile. Then there are substances which help with new teeth and bone growth, and which guard against cavities. Finally, there’s a surfactant that’ll help the toothpaste to more easily spread across the surface of the tooth, and thus do its work more effectively.
