Why Should I Use Pre-shave Oil? Pre-shave oil is the first step in preparing your skin for the best wet shave possible. It hydrates and protects your skin while shaving. Pre-shave oil also softens your facial hair while allowing the razor blade to glide smoothly. The protective oils form an additional layer over your skin which directly protects your skin from the razor blade. Using a good quality shaving oil results in a smoother shaving experience and much less irritation post-shave!

Pre-shave oil reduces ‘tug and pull’ which occurs when you perform a wet shave without a quality pre-shave oil and/or shaving soap. Tug and pull is also experienced when using a blunt blade. To achieve the perfect wet shave use pre-shave oil and shaving soap or shaving cream during the shaving process.
