What is Exfoliating?
If you’re in the slightest bit interested in caring for your skin, then you’ll probably have heard the term ‘exfoliating’ – even if you aren’t entirely sure what it means. Put simply, exfoliation is a bit like applying sandpaper to your skin, removing the topmost layer that you no longer need.
Your skin is an organ that’s constantly replacing itself from beneath. As the oldest, topmost skin cells die, they naturally fall away. But sometimes they need a helping hand to do so – if they’re left around, they’ll cause a nuisance, blocking pores and forming hardened clumps, particular around often-impacted areas like the feet.
Exfoliating agents come in several different forms. Mechanical ones include brushes and exfoliating body bars, covered in tiny fibres that’ll give those dead skin cells the helping hand they need to fall away. The result? Skin that’s gleaming and healthy-looking!
Of course, shaving provides a natural exfoliating action – but what about those areas of the body that you aren’t shaving? Clearly, some additional help is called for. In this section of the site you’ll find all of our products geared toward exfoliation. If you’re looking for a means of evicting those stubborn dead cells, then here’s where you’ll find it!
